" This old inn has a history of smuggling and secret escape routes from Press Gangs. It is a fascinating timberframed, wooden shiplap building renovated in 1984 by the present owner. An excellent fayre is available as well as real ales. The floor in the main bar area is at various angles and even though you may not have consumed one of the ales on offer, a short walk to the urinals will feel as if you have had a few too many! (A small plastic ice cream tub under the left urinal, has been there for a very, very long time!) "
