"U Fleku is by far the most famous tavern in Prague. It claims to be the world's oldest brew-tavern, having been first established in 1499, although it finds itself in the New Town - Nove Mesto. It has been in continuous production ever since, apart from a closure of a few months, after the Battle of White Mountain in Prague, in 1620. Note the Swedish cannon ball embedded in the wall in the courtyard: it found its way there in the last year of the Thirty Years' War in 1648..."
