The internet claims: "You haven't been everywhere in Oregon until you've been to the Owyhee River and Three Forks. One of the most remote spots in the state reachable by regular vehicle, Three Forks takes its name from the merger of the North and Middle forks with the main Owyhee River. It's about as far from civilization as you can get in Oregon, but that's exactly why the people who go there like it. More likely, you'll take in the view of the Owyhee at the Rome boat launch, where U.S. 95 crosses the river at the tiny community of Rome on the road between Boise and Winnemucca, Nev."
