The internet has the following opinion of The Scotsman: "We truly felt that we'd been dropped back into Edinburgh. My friend and I popped into the large pub for lunch and a respite. The selection of food was not good - but the beer selection was. I particularly enjoyed the quietness of the place during mid-day. The weather had turned very warm, so I had to go into a nearby shop to purchase a top. My friend stayed in the pub while I was gone and he had a nice visit. I liked the huge booths and dark wood. We could see ourselves enjoying a cold winter night in Oslo sitting in one of those booths. Well-done."
