This photo was submitted by Erika. She writes: "Satyricon was a famous Portland, Oregon punk rock club. "The Trough", [as this fixture was commonly known], was in use from 1983 until the club's renovation in 1996. This photo was taken by David Ackerman".
Erika further adds that this fixture was used by such famous rock stars as Kurt Cobain: " I think we can be pretty safely assured that Kurt Cobain used this... he played shows at Satyricon, and Courtney Love claims that they met at a show at Satyricon. BTW, if you look at the myspace page [for the club], one of the visitors claims he peed here next to Mudhoney's singer, Mark Arm."
