"Millennium Park replaces 23 acres of ugliness that for decades was home to a vacant rail yard and a surface parking lot. The park sits above a new parking garage and two commuter train stations. Strolling through the tree-lined gardens, you'd never dream all that activity was going on just 30 feet below...At its center is an outdoor concert hall designed by the world-renowned architect Frank Gehry, whose credits include Bilbao's Guggenheim Museum, and Los Angeles' Disney Concert Hall.
