I-81 spends 234 miles going through Pennsylvania on its way to the Canadian border in northern New York state from the town of Dandridge, TN (at the I-40). On its way it also passes through Virgina, where the longest stretch of the road may be found, as well as West Virginia, Maryland and New York.
