He writes: "During 1938, in anticipation of Nazi air raids, a basement in some civil service buildings were converted into Winston Churchill's command center for the duration of World War Two. Today, part of the facility is preserved as a museum, though these urinals are obviously not original. In fact, during the tour much is made of the complete lack of flush facilities anywhere in the bunker- after all, war is hell, and everyone (including evidently Winston Churchill himself) had to make sacrifices during those uncertain times. Happily, London survived the bombing, and urinal afficionados are free to tour the city's facilities today."
