He writes: "Homestead is the site of the infamous steel strike of 1892, where the Pinkertons attacked the strikers, and in more recent decades was a textbook example of Rustbelt America. However, in the last decade or so, it has been rebounding, and now several noteworthy eating establishments can be found. Blue Dust (the name taken in homage to the mill soot that once was everywhere) is a pub with something like 26 microbrews on tap at any time (the wait staff sometimes wears T-shirts with their motto on back - "No Crap On Tap"), and food that vastly exceeds common bar grub. (The other noteworthy restaurant, Smoke, in tiny quarters, has a unisex facility with no urinal.)"
