He writes: "While the quality of Beijing urinals generally improves from year to year, there are still many restrooms that seem to have been planned by someone who was drunk at the time... The urinals [in the photo above] are modern, by American Standard, with motion-detector flush mechanisms. They are also in full open view of the 2nd and higher floors of the library, visible outside the large facing window."
