This picture was sent in by KW. He writes: "The remarkable waterfall of Machay plunges from a point near the road
vertically down to near the River Pastaza, and a very steep path
leads a few hundred feet to the bottom, where there is a pool for
bathing. For the convenience of swimmers and other visitors a
facility consisting of two toilets, a washbasin and a urinal is
available. After using the urinal, I turned on the red tap to flush
it, and got drenched! Look closely and you will see why. Is this some
kind of practical joke on the part of the installers?" |
