Kuching, a city of around 300,00 people, is the capital of Sarawak, Malaysia, in West Borneo. It is the largest city in the state and is a river port, as it sits on the Sarawak River. It was founded in 1839 by James Brooke.

The main exports are sago flour and pepper. Kuching is famous for its waterfront and its colonial architecture. The state of Sarawak is said to be the most exotic state in Malaysia and Asia's best kept secret. It also boasts a plant the size of a coffee table and snakes that fly, as well as this McDonald's Restaurant.
