No Barriers, No Privacy

A recent survey finds that American men's rooms are an increasingly hostile place for the shy and privacy-conscious. It is estimated that only 28% of new multi-fixture urinal installations feature barrier seperation, which was once a standard.

There is no clear explanation for this decline in barrier use. Reasons may include increased awareness of special access needs, cost considerations, change in architectural philosophy, and simply a decreasing "shyness" of America.

So where does this leave the most bashful among us? Simply put, "Americans need to come to terms with this. Piss or back off the pot, as they say."

Only time will tell whether the decline in barrier placement will continue. Appreciate them while they last.
