He writes: "I am pleased to submit my first trough photo to I was surprised to find these troughs way out in Barstow, CA in a tourist stop known as Barstow Station. It is actually a large McDonald's (once the busiest in the world) with a huge gift shop. These troughs are located in an old railroad boxcar which is attached to the main building. Barstow Station is also located on the famous old highway "Route 66." So, as you can see, this stop combines fine dining, tourism, history and troughs in one convenient location for the traveling public. Also, this is the only trough I have ever found in Southern California."

Not to be confused with Barstow Station.
